December 5, 2025
Hello! From the PTA President

Hello Thunderbirds!  What an event filled November! We are truly thankful for all of our PTA volunteers who worked so hard to make all of the events fun and fantastic!

Our Fall Bookfair was a huge success and thanks to you, Mrs. Klein will be able to fill the library shelves once again with wonderful books for our students!  Trailwood was full of excitement during the Special Persons Lunch, Book Fair Pancake Breakfast, and Blood Drive in Memory of Moira.  Thank you to all who showed up and participated in these events.

Looking ahead to December-we anticipate lots of learning and fun with all of the scheduled field trips funded by our PTA and our Winter Classroom Parties.

I would like to personally invite you to our PTA Member Appreciation Meeting on Thursday, December 11th in the Band Room at 8:15.  Please come and enjoy treats while hearing updates from the PTA.  Hope to see you there!

Graciously,

Cher Brownback

Staff Holiday Gifts

Non-Classroom Staff Holiday Gifts

To show our appreciation for all of our amazing non-classroom staff members, the PTA is collecting $10 gift cards to Target and Walmart. A suggested donation of a $10 gift card per family is very much appreciated, and is a wonderful way of saying thank you to these important members of our Trailwood community.

Please sign up to donate here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0D4DA5AE2BA7FE3-60848405-trailwood

We kindly request gift cards be purchased only in the amount of $10 as this enables us to easily distribute equal gift amounts to each staff member.

Gift cards can be delivered to the office through the end of school on Monday, December 15.

Blood Drive Results

Thank you so much to everyone who donated blood at our annual blood drive in honor of Moira Aaron-Castillo. We are grateful to each of the generous donors who allowed us to meet our goal of 30 blood donations which represents 90 lives saved in our community! During this season of giving, it’s especially meaningful that each of these donors gave such a selfless and impactful gift to help someone in need. Thank you for giving hope and healing to patients in the KC community and honoring Moira’s legacy in such a beautiful way!
