January 9, 2026
Hello! From the PTA President

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a restful and safe break!

Looking ahead, we have a super fun 3rd and 4th quarter ahead. The auction is coming up soon!  Each year, Trailwood hosts a primary fundraiser, and we are so excited for this year's event-Roaring 20s Auction at Indian Hills Country Club! The auction helps fund more than 50 programs that enrich the educational experience of our students and support our dedicated staff. Tickets will go on sale next week! The cost will be $65 per ticket.

Reach out if you have any questions. Let's make 2026 one of the best yet!

Kind regards,

Cher Brownback

Volunteers Needed: PTA Auction Grade-Level Baskets

As part of the auction, the PTA asks each grade to put together and donate a themed basket to be an auction item.

To accomplish this we are seeking a volunteer from each grade to spearhead this project.

-Emailing your grade-level parents asking for contributions
-Collecting contributions
-Assembling the basket

Past themes include Brunch in a Basket, Local Coffee Shops, Chiefs Swag, Ladies Favorite Things, Legos and Disney. Feel free to team up with another parent and be creative!

We would love to have volunteers by Friday, Jan. 16. Assembled baskets are due Friday, Feb. 6.

Needed: Hosts for Grade Level Parties!

Hi Thunderbirds!

One of the many ways in which we strive to foster a sense of community here at Trailwood is through our annual grade level kid parties. These parties are hosted by parents and guardians, usually in the spring and summer, with tickets being sold at our February 28th Auction.

How it works: you can sign up with a couple families or go solo for your child's grade level. Parties in the past have included pool parties, backyard movies, backyard bouncy houses, but you can do whatever you’d like! We will put the parties for sale online to be purchased during trivia night.  You hosting the party would be your donation to the PTA and tickets sold would go towards the PTA's efforts in funding activities.
