Thunderbirds, you ROCK! You donated more than enough supplies for every student (kindergarten through 5th grade) to pack a sock kit for the homeless! We delivered 375 sock kits to ScrapsKC. They were speechless! THANK YOU from ScrapsKC: ScrapsKC's mission is to care for Kansas City's environment, to educate about homelessness and to serve the hungry. We are very grateful for the support we have had from the Trailwood community. ScrapsKC distributes the socks to homeless in three different ways. First, socks are given to any homeless person that volunteers in our store. Second, we serve breakfast on the streets every Saturday morning. If it has been raining, socks are brought to that location and handed out. Finally, the sock kits are available for our customers to take and give to the homeless they see on the streets. Thank you for your generosity and support as we work together to care for Kansas City.
