T-Birds Serve is excited to partner with Something to Eat again for a feed the funnel party this semester. T-Birds Serve Event What: Something to Eat - Cone Zone Party When: April 6, 9:30 - Noon Whether you are 3 years old or 90+ years old, there is something you can do. You will stand shoulder to shoulder with your group and pour cups of rice, soy, vegetables, vitamins, and cheese into a bag and then weigh, seal, and box each bag as together we dream of each box going down the street to the local food pantry. Each meal you package will help the 1 in 5 children that struggle with food insecurity. Are you unsure of what being food insecure means? Don’t worry we will have an educational time where you can learn about this and other facts about hunger and poverty! Join us for what is sure to be a FUN morning that will spark great conversation among your family! MINIMUM DONATION OF $35 PER FAMILY (UP TO 4 PEOPLE) paid directly to Something to Eat. It’s December already! Thank you to our whole community for your hard work and contributions over our first semester. Click here to sign up! ![]() Legislative Update - January 8, 6:30 p.m. Our legislative update from our state senators was a success so we are doing it again with our state House members, Rep. Stephanie Clayton and Rep. Jan Kessinger, on January 8 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. A new session will be starting in Topeka the following week so there will be a lot to discuss when it comes to funding schools, taking care of our awesome teachers, school safety and more. You'll want to hear how our new governor and changes in the legislature, including the loss of a number of moderates in Johnson County, will affect the agenda. Mark your calendars and plan to come out! Child care is provided (as always). See you there! Election Results This year's election is over and we saw extremely high turnout in area. Well done!
