Our PTA is a dedicated group of parents, teachers, and administrators who work together to provide resources and programs to all famies in our school community. The PTA supports the quality of education at Trailwood Elementary with strategic investments in curriculum materials, enrichment and instructional programs, and general support of our community that directly enhance the school's mission of excellence for all Trailwood students.

Mark your calendars for our first event of the 2026 - 2027 school year, Popsicle Pop-In, on Tuesday, August 11from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Drop off school supplies, meet teachers and enjoy a tasty treat with new and old friends!

 

 

 

      

T-BIRD TROT REGISTRATION open

Join us at 5:15 p.m. on Aug. 28th at Trailwood's Big Playground. We will run/walk through the neighborhood as a community before gathering back together for food and fun! 

 

The T-Bird Trot is FREE for all Trailwood families! Please register in advance, so we can plan accordingly and keep you updated with event information.

We'll have free snacks, a dance party and optional dinner that you can order from Chick-Fil-A!  The event wraps by 7 p.m so you'll have plenty of time to catch the Chiefs game!  Check out the registration page, flyer and our FAQs for more details. Dinner and T-shirt orders are due Aug. 19.

 

 

MEMBERSHIP and yearbook sales coming in august

 

 

You'll have the opportunity to purchase a PTA membership and support the work of our PTA for the 2026 - 2027 school year soon!

 

Becoming a member does not obligate you to attend meetings or volunteer (although, we’d love to have you!). Your support allows us to provide our students, staff and families with a variety of fun and educational opportunities here at Trailwood!

 

You are also able to purchase your child’s yearbook and pay their yearly activity fee at this time. Yearbooks are a fantastic way for kids to reminisce on all the fun they had at Trailwood Elementary and will be delivered at the end of the year.

We hope you'll consider becoming an MVP next school year! This designation is given to adult volunteers in SMSD who would like the opportunity to work with/supervise kids on their own. These relationships are positively powerful for the child (and the adult), and we can always use people to serve in this role!
